No tsunami threat after strong offshore quake in Davao Oriental

DAVAO CITY–The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said there was no tsunami threat after the 6.7 magnitude offshore quake whose epicenter was traced 47 km southeast of Manay, Davao Oriental, at 11:02 a.m. on Wednesday.  The quake was felt at Intensity II in Davao City and was monitored at Instrumental Intensity IV in Malungon, Sarangani.
