Ninong Ry sure knows how to laugh at himself!
On Facebook, the food content creator shared moments from his appearance at Gordon Ramsay’s exclusive event in Manila. Ninong Ry was among the contestants of the “Masterchef”-inspired segment, wherein they were tasked to make their own versions of Halo-Halo.
“Ninong Ry binigyan ng Diabetes si Gordon Ramsay hahahhaha," he said in his post.
As seen in videos from eventgoers, Ninong Ry had served Gordon with a simple Halo-Halo, but without the fruits.
“Shit, that is sweet,” Gordon said after tasting.
"I can feel my arteries jamming up,” the celebrity chef also joked.
Ninong Ry said, “That’s what it’s supposed to do actually.” .
“I came here to open a restaurant, not for a heart bypass operation,” Gordon added.
Chef Ramsay visited Manila this January. The top chef was served a Beef Wellington lumpia by Lumpia Queen Abi Marquez. He also collaborated with Niana Guerrero and Ranz Kyle for a dance video.
Gordon's first restaurant in the country, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, opened in 2024 at the Newport World Resorts' Grand Wing.
Gordon Ramsay is the chef behind several Michelin-starred restaurants, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in the UK and Le Pressoir d'Argent in Bordeaux. He's opened restaurants worldwide, including in Singapore, UAE, and Japan.
