MANILA, Philippines — Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., the owner and operator of Newport World Resorts, has tapped listed gaming service provider PhilWeb Corp. for online gaming platform support.
In a stock exchange filing, PhilWeb said it has entered into an agreement with Travellers International to provide platform technology, system support, gaming content integration, as well as marketing and operational services for NWRPlay, Newport World Resorts’ gaming system administrator online gaming platform.
Located in Pasay, Newport World Resorts is an integrated resort that combines privately operated gaming facilities with hospitality, entertainment, retail and lifestyle offerings.
“The engagement forms part of the company’s ongoing initiatives to expand its B2B (business-to-business) platform and content initiatives within the regulated online gaming sector,” PhilWeb said.
PhilWeb has secured accreditation under the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. framework for gaming affiliates and support service providers, allowing the company to provide technology and operational services to licensed gaming operators within PAGCOR’s regulated system.
The company also announced partnerships with leading integrated resort operators, including Hann Casino Resort and Okada Manila, to support their online gaming platforms.
PhilWeb is also venturing into the game content distribution and aggregation business, with the initial launch expected to include partnerships with PT Gaming and NUSTAR Online.
