Universal Robina Corporation (URC), the food and beverage unit of JG Summit Holdings Inc., announced the appointment of Anna Milagros D. David as the first President of its Branded Consumer Foods (BCF) business in the Philippines.
In a statement, the firm said that, David will now oversee URC’s Branded Consumer Foods business in the Philippines, driving strategic initiatives to strengthen URC’s market leadership, deliver value to consumers and drive sustainable growth.
“We want to focus on driving topline and market share. And we will do that by remembering our mission: to delight the people we serve,” she said.
Before her appointment as President of BCF Philippines, Mian held the positions of Managing Director for URC International and Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to joining URC, David spent 17 years in Sales and Marketing in one of the largest multinational companies, holding both local and global roles.
Upon joining URC in 2018 as Vice President for Beverages, she revived the growth of Great Taste coffee. She also refreshed and reengineered the C2 portfolio, helping grow volumes while improving profitability, cementing its place as the dominant leader in ready-to-drink Tea.
David then moved on to also handle Snack Foods, widening URC’s market share lead in Snacks, Cookies, Chocolates, and Candies, where URC holds the top spot.
Over the last two years, she led URC International as it boosted incremental revenue and achieved double-digit operating margins. Her drive for innovation vibrancy was evident with new products launched in the last three years contributing over eight percent of URCI’s incremental sales.
In Vietnam, C2 has become the number two player in Ready-to-drink Tea, marking multiple years of high double-digit growth. In Biscuits, URC continues to lead in Thailand and has strengthened its dominance in Malaysia.
URC has been a trusted name in the food and beverage industry for almost 70 years. It’s well-loved brands like Great Taste, C2, Piattos, and Cream-O are present in 9 out of 10 Filipino households.
