New clash reported in Occidental Mindoro after March 24 encounter

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Government forces clashed anew with suspected communist rebels in Sitio Salapay on Sunday afternoon, just days after a similar encounter in another village in the same town, authorities said. In a report, the Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office said the latest firefight broke out at 2:20 p.m. in Barangay Monteclaro
