A new Avatar is on the way, and this time, she's an Earthbender!
According to a report on Variety, original creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are expanding the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" universe with another sequel series.
"Avatar: Seven Havens" follows the next Avatar after Korra — a young Earthbender "hunted by both human and spirit enemies" in an era where her title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior.
DiMartino and Konietzko in a statement said that the new series is "full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters. Get ready to take another epic and emotional adventure!"
This marks the second sequel to "Avatar: The Last Airbender." The first, "Avatar: The Legend of Korra," ran for four seasons from 2012 to 2014.
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. It follows Aang as he trains to master all four elements, and his journey in ending the Hundred Year War.
In 2024, Netflix released a live action adaptation of the series. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
