MANILA, Philippines — Two of the country's biggest stars Nadine Lustre and Alden Richards are teaming up for a digital series set in Siargao.

Streaming platform Viu announced the actors' first-time pairing for "Love, Siargao," a 26-episode series arriving later this year.

The show will reportedly tackle the so-called "Siargao Curse" where visitors to the island either never leave or fall in love.

Also in the cast is rising Korean actor Choi Bo-min who was recently tapped by The Tourism Promotions Board Philippines as new tourism ambassadors for Korea alongside Kim Myung-soo or L of boy band Infinite.

Nadine, who is based in Siargao, will play Kara while Alden will portray Jao. The series is a collaboration of Viu with Viva Entertainment.

"Love, Siargao" will shine a light on the titular island's beaches, local cuisine and experiences, and the iconic of warmth of Filipinos.

This as Nadine and Alden's characters cross paths having experienced the "Siargao Curse" in their own ways.
