MANILA, Philippines — Rock band My Chemical Romance (MCR) is postponing the Asia shows, including the Philippines, of its "The Black Parade 2026" tour next year.
The band currently composed of Gerard Way, his brother Mikey, Ray Toro and Frank Iero were initially slated to perform at the Philippine Arena on April 25, 2026.
However, MCR announced on its Instagram account it would be postponing the upcoming Asia dates until November 2026, assuring fans that such shows were not cancelled.
"All purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates. However, if you cannot attend the rescheduled date, refunds will be available to you. Please see the info below for your specific market," said the band. "We very much look forward to coming to see you all in November."
The other 2026 dates, which will go around the Americas and Europe will go on as planned.
The new Philippine date for the "The Black Parade 2026" tour is Nov. 14, 2026 still at the Philippine Arena. It will come after stops in South Korea, two nights in Singapore, Thailand, two nights in Malaysia, and Indonesia.
The tour borrows its name from MCR's hit third album "Welcome to the Black Parade" which features songs like "Teenagers," "Dead!," "Famous Last Word," "Disenchanted," "Mama," "Cancer," "I Don't Love You," and the eponymous track, a majority of which the band has performed on the tour.
Other hits the band is expected to play are "Helena," "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)," "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," "Planetary (Go!)" and "Thank You for the Venom."
By the time MCR returns to the Philippines, it will have been nearly two decades since the band's last visit when they performed in the former Bonifacio Global City Open Field in 2006.
