The association has consistently organized events and seminars to explore how the Philippines can become a top destination for Muslim travelers.

“We have strong partnerships with embassies and national tourism bodies from Muslim-majority countries, especially our Asean neighbors,” said GTBA President Michelle Taylan. “Pursuing Halal tourism reflects our commitment to diversity and allows more people to experience the beauty of the Philippines.”

Earlier this year, Taylan and Oneklik Events met with Malaysian and Indonesian ambassadors to discuss new tourism and business partnerships and preparations for the Travel Sale Expo 2025.

GTBA also consulted with Tourism Secretary Frasco on future events.

“We’ve started the conversation,” Taylan said. “Now it’s time to execute our plans with the support of our friends and partners in the industry.”
