MANILA, Philippines — MPower, the local retail electricity arm of tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan’s Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), is further strengthening its partnership with the family of businessman Emilio Go.
MPower has extended its power supply deal with the Go family’s Megasoft Hygienic Products Inc., the maker of sanitary baby diapers, napkins and pantyliners under the Sisters, Twins and Twins Lampein brands.
Similarly, the Meralco unit also inked a new supply contract with another Go-led firm, Mega Land Prime Estate Corp., which offers real estate properties in Bulacan, Cebu and Misamis Oriental.
Under these strategic deals, MPower will energize Megasoft’s facility in Caloocan and Mega Land’s building in Quezon City.

According to Meralco, MPower’s partnership with the Go family is driven by a shared goal of ensuring efficiency and sustainability in business operations.

MPower serves contestable customers, including top corporations, within Meralco’s franchise area that includes Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
As the retail electricity arm of the Meralco Group, the company aims to increase its renewable energy capacity in its supply portfolio in line with its sustainability commitment.
