MANILA, Philippines — MPower, the local retail electricity arm of tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan’s Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), is further strengthening its partnership with the family of businessman Emilio Go.
MPower has extended its power supply deal with the Go family’s Megasoft Hygienic Products Inc., the maker of sanitary baby diapers, napkins and pantyliners under the Sisters, Twins and Twins Lampein brands.
Similarly, the Meralco unit also inked a new supply contract with another Go-led firm, Mega Land Prime Estate Corp., which offers real estate properties in Bulacan, Cebu and Misamis Oriental.
Under these strategic deals, MPower will energize Megasoft’s facility in Caloocan and Mega Land’s building in Quezon City.
“We value reliability and excellent service, which is why we chose MPower,” said Go, who serves as president and CEO at Megasoft.
“Their dependable energy solutions ensure uninterrupted operations, while their exceptional customer support helps us manage. With MPower, we can focus on innovation and growth with confidence,” Go said.
According to Meralco, MPower’s partnership with the Go family is driven by a shared goal of ensuring efficiency and sustainability in business operations.
“We are equally thrilled to deepen our partnership with Megasoft Hygienic Products Inc. and proudly welcome Mega Land Prime as a valued partner in our expanding network,” Meralco first vice president and MPower head Redel Domingo said.
“This collaboration reflects our ongoing mission to support businesses with reliable energy solutions that drive growth and efficiency,” Domingo said.
MPower serves contestable customers, including top corporations, within Meralco’s franchise area that includes Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
As the retail electricity arm of the Meralco Group, the company aims to increase its renewable energy capacity in its supply portfolio in line with its sustainability commitment.
