More storms, rain triggered by La Niña – Pagasa

MANILA, PHILIPPINES— Twenty three tropical cyclones have so far hit the country this year, with one more expected before the year ends, exceeding the usual average of 19 to 20 amid the impact of La Niña, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section chief Ana Liza Solis.
