The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has announced the first four official entries of this year's lineup during the MMFF 2025 grand launch on Tuesday in Makati City.
The first batch of entries are the following:
- "Call Me Mother" starring Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre, directed by Jun Robles Lana
- "Rekonek" starring Carmina Villarroel, Gloria Diaz, Alexa Miro, Gerald Anderson, and Zoren Legaspi, directed by Jade Castro.
- "Manila's Finest" starring Piolo Pascual, directed by Ray Red
- "Shake, Rattle, and Roll: Evil Origins" starring Ashley Ortega, Ysabel Ortega, Elijah Alejo, Carla Abellana, Dustin Yu, Marilyn Reynes, Dustin Yu, Ivana Alawi, Fyang Smith, Loisa Andalio, Janice De Belen, Francine Diaz, Kaila Estrada, Richard Gutierrez, Ryan Bang, Seth Fedelin, and JM Ibarra; directed by Shugo Praico, Joey de Guzman, and Ian Loreños.
The second batch of official entries will be announced on September 30, per hosts Jervi Wrightson and Enchong Dee.
Other key dates include the MMFF 2025 Parade of the Stars on December 19, the official start of screening on December 25, and the MMFF 2025 Gabi ng Parangal on December 27.
