MMDA aims to clean 25 esteros before rainy season to prevent floods

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) aims to clean up 25 esteros before the rainy season to reduce flooding in low-lying communities, its general manager, former Philippine National Police chief Nicolas Torre III, said Thursday. Torre announced it while overseeing the “Bayanihan sa Estero” program at the Kalabingkoho River on Thursday morning,
