MANILA, Philippines — There's been a minor change in the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 calendar as the coronation night moves to a different date.
The event was initially scheduled to take place on May 1, Labor Day, at the Mall of Asia Arena but organizers have announced the coronation will be on the following day, May 2.
Miss Universe Philippines explained the date change from Friday to Saturday was to "allow sufficient time for venue preparation and ensure proper staging and production."
Organizers also assured that any tickets purchased prior to the date change will still be honored and seat arrangements remain the same.
Tickets are still available via the SM Tickets website at these prices:
- Box Regular: P800
- Box Premium: P2,100
- VIP Regular: P5,700
- VIP Premium: P8,000
- SVIP: P11,300
Doors to the venue will open at 6:00 p.m. with plans to begin the ceremony an hour later.
The 50 remaining contestants — following the removal of Kalibo, Aklan representative Imelda Schweighart — have already participated in the evening gown portion of the preliminary rounds.
Still to come are the swimsuit competition on April 12, the National Costume competition on April 16, and closed door interviews on April 19.
Come coronation night all the delegates will be vying to succeed Miss Universe 2025 3rd runner-up Ahtisa Manalo as the national titleholder.
The next Miss Universe Philippines will represent the country in the diamond edition of Miss Universe to be held in Puerto Rico later this year.
