Filipino designer Emanuel Riñoza took to Instagram to share a closer look at Tarah Valencia’s national costume for Miss Supranational 2025.

Drawing inspiration from carabao, the Philippines’ national animal, Emanuel said the piece pays homage to Cordilleran farmers who remain deeply connected to their land, as well as the heart of the Filipino spirit.

At the core of the national costume is the use of solihiya weaving, which is a traditional pattern of interlaced rattan, paired with locally sourced Cordillera fabric.

The gown features a voluminous hip silhouette, cone-bra bust, and a structured collar to frame and emphasize Tarah’s figure with a dramatic flair. Meanwhile, the shoulder piece is designed to resemble the head of a carabao and accentuated with fine linear embellishments.

An elaborate headpiece completes the look, which is designed as carabao horns with Cordilleran beadwork anchored by a traditional Filipino hat dubbed “Salakot” and embellished with gold rhinestones and wooden bead tassels.

Tarah is vying for the Philippines’ second Miss Supranational crown after Mutya Datul’s win in 2013.

In her introduction video, Tarah put the spotlight on the rich heritage of her hometown, Baguio City.

Here’s how you can vote for Tarah for the Supra Fan Vote.

The Miss Supranational 2025 Experience will take place from June 9 to 28 in Malopolska, Poland.
