Miriam Quiambao sprained her ankle ahead of her supposed half marathon in Boracay in June.

The Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up shared her unfortunate incident on Instagram Tuesday.

“Last night, I suffered an ankle sprain, which left me [walking with] crutches,” she wrote.

Miriam also said she was already three months into her training for her first 21K race in 11 years.

“This will set me back to zero from my running schedule, and I’m not even sure I can make the race in a few weeks,” she said.

“I’ll find out when I visit the orthopedic doctor tomorrow,” she added. “Pray for me?”

In the comment section, celebrities, including Iza Calzado and Rica Peralejo, sent their well wishes to Miriam.

"Praying for your healing, Ate Am!" Iza commented.

Miriam is married to Ardy Roberto. They have two children, Elijah and Ezekiel Isaiah. She also has a stepson, Joshua, who is the son of Ardy and his late wife, Tingting.
