BAGUIO CITY , Philippines — Three members of the government paramilitary group Civilian Active Auxiliary (CAA) were killed while two others were wounded after their colleague allegedly shot them inside their patrol base in Pinukpuk, Kalinga on Tuesday night.

The fatalities died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred at around 7:47 p.m. inside the Allangigan Patrol Base in Bararangay Apatan.

Two others were rushed to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.

The suspect, whose identity was not immediately available, fled after the shooting but was arrested yesterday morning in a follow-up operation.

Probers have yet to determine the motive for the shooting.
