MANILA, Philippines — Content creator and actress Mika Salamanca joined non-profit organization Project Pearls in celebrating a significant achievement in its child nutrition program, as 61 children officially overcame malnutrition after just two months through the organization's partnership with GoodZone.

During the group's 2nd Weigh-In Party, the children celebrated their progress by wearing colorful hats they made for Nutrition Month, sharing a nutritious meal and recognizing their health milestones alongside volunteers and partners.

Project Pearls hailed the achievement as a testament to what sustained community support can accomplish.

"We are proud to share that our 61 little champions have officially stepped out of the malnutrition line in just two months!" the organization said.

Mika brought an added sense of joy to the celebration by spending time with the children, reading stories and donating copies of books she personally authored.

"We are glad that Mika Salamanca also joined the fun, warming hearts by reading to the children and donating books she authored herself," Project Pearls shared.

The NGO also thanked its longtime partner, GoodZone and Mika for helping make the event memorable.

"Maraming salamat, The Good Zone and Mika, for putting healthy smiles on our children's faces. This is what community is all about!"

Project Pearls said the milestone reflects the impact of collaborative efforts in addressing child malnutrition through consistent nutrition, education, and community engagement. The organization also encouraged the public to help sustain its programs.

"Help us reach the next milestone! Message us to get involved or visit www.projectpearls.org."

The successful weigh-in celebration underscores the importance of partnerships among nonprofits, private organizations, volunteers and public figures in improving the lives of vulnerable children, with Mika’s participation helping draw greater awareness to the cause.
