Michael V. honored the late Pilita Corrales in his own special way: a portrait sketch.

On Instagram Sunday, the Kapuso Comedy Genius shared his beautiful sketch of Asia's Queen of Songs.

"PILITA," he simply captioned his post.

Pilita's passing was announced by her granddaughter, actress Janine Gutierrez, on Saturday. Pilita was 87 years old.

The Cebuana singer and TV and movie icon first rose to fame in Australia with her hit "Come Closer to Me." Upon her return to the Philippines, she made her mark in the music industry with hits like "A Million Thanks to You," "Kapantay ay Langit," "Usahay," and more.

She is the first Filipino to sing in Caesar's Palace, and she also performed with international music legends such as The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and Julie Andrews, among others.

Aside from music, Pilita also ventured into TV, starring in "Your Evening with Pilita" and various shows and movies.

Meanwhile, Bitoy is known for paying tribute to various personalities with his signature sketches.

In the past, the multi-talented artist honored the late veteran Kapuso broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez, veteran actor Eddie Garcia, rock icon David Bowie, and legendary comic book author Stan Lee.

He recently shared his old sketch of Pope Francis during the latter's bout with double pneumonia.
