Metrobank logs record P49.7-B profit in 2025

MANILA, Philippines — Ty family-led Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) reported a record net income of P49.7 billion in 2025. This was driven by loan growth, strong trading income and controlled costs, the bank said Thursday. Metrobank’s profit in 2025 was up 3.3 percent from its previous record of P48.1 billion the year before.
