Mayon Volcano logs 2 minor eruptions, Alert level 3 stays

LIGAO CITY — Mayon Volcano had two minor or Strombolian eruptions on Saturday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). Close-up footage taken at 12:09 p.m. and 12:22 p.m. showed the volcano spewing dark, cauliflower-shaped smoke. Despite the eruptions, no ashfall was reported in towns and cities across Albay.
