Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal are the cover stars of Preview Philippines' February issue!
On Instagram, the magazine posted a photo of the cover featuring the OG '90s love team and "Ex Ex Lovers" stars.
The cover photo taken by Renzo Navarro showed the on-screen partners looking like an old-school couple as they danced together.
"Much has been said about love teams in discussions amid the showbiz system and its machinations. At its core, the love team is a pop culture pillar that spoke to the hopelessly romantic nature of Filipinos, an audience that unabashedly valued romance as a genre," the magazine wrote.
Preview also another set of photos that are seemingly inspired by the musical film "La La Land."
In the cover story, Marvin and Jolina "reflect on their reign as '90s icons and the love team culture that's ruled Philippine showbiz for decades."
MarJo's comeback movie "Ex Ex Lovers" follows the story of their lives as an ex-couple who are trying to be good parents to their daughter while reflecting on what went wrong in their relationship.
Aside from Jolina and Marvin, the film also stars Loisa Andalio, Juan Karlos, Judy Ann Santos, Mylene Dizon, and many more. It was released on February 12.
Jolina and Marvin's reunion project was first teased last June when they posed for a photo with award-winning filmmakers Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas, the founders of Project 8 Projects.
The MarJo tandem was one of the Philippines' most popular love teams in the '90s. Among their most famous films include "Hey Babe!" and "Labs Kita... Okey Ka Lang?"
