Marcos: Methanol dual-fuel ship marks PH rise in green shipping

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday said the delivery of the world’s first methanol dual-fuel KAMSARMAX vessel marks the Philippines’ emergence as a leader in low-carbon and sustainable maritime transport. Named “Brave Pioneer,” the methanol-powered KAMSARMAX bulk carrier has a capacity of 81,200 metric tons and was constructed by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
