MANILA, Philippines — The assets of President Marcos and his wife Liza were valued at P1.475 billion in 2025, according to an appraisal report attached to his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) in 2025, a copy of which was obtained by The STAR from the Office of the Ombudsman.

In the report by independent firm Cuervo Appraisers Inc., the first couple’s real properties had a total fair market value of P1.029 billion, covering 20 properties, including three houses and 17 lots, varying from agricultural, residential and commercial.

Among the properties, the most expensive was a 1,164-square meter residential house in La Union province built in December 2022 which they acquired for P80.5 million.

Meanwhile, their personal properties were worth P427.419 million, which included cash on hand worth P98.7 million, investments worth P178.6 million, jewelry worth P26.4 million and paintings worth P84.87 million.

Marcos’ cash and bank deposits saw a 155-percent increase from the P38.70 million he declared in 2024. Their investments also grew by 33 percent from P134.19 million in 2024 to P178.6 million in 2025.

The first couple’s collection of jewelry also increased as their declared amount saw an increase of P3.60 million.

They also listed 138 pieces of art in their collection, the most expensive of which is a 1928 Fernando Amorsolo piece titled “Seated woman with a bashful smile,” which they bought in March 2022 for P3.036 million. Its value has been appraised at P8 million as of December 2025.

Also part of their collection is a 1883 Jose Rizal piece titled “Los dos pintores” which they received as a “gift” in April 1993 and was valued at P3 million as of December 2025.

The first couple also has 17 pieces of Ben Cabrera artwork that have a total appraised worth of P11.65 million as of December 2025, the most expensive of which is a 1994 piece titled “Peasant woman” worth P2.2 million, which they acquired in January 2000 for P85,000.

The artwork that has the highest appraised value is a 1976 piece from National Artist Jose Joya titled “Ocean Gem,” which is worth P19 million but which they acquired in September 1993 for P1.2 million.

They also have pieces from National Artist Arturo Luz, Romulo Olazo, Lao Lianben and Mauro Malang Santos, whose artworks’ value range from P2 million to P5 million.

Marcos and Liza also declared 12 motor vehicles, the most expensive of which is a 2023 Mercedes-Benz Maybach 8680 worth P10.5 million which they acquired in April 2023 and a 2023 GMC Yukon Denali XL, which they bought for P9.5 million in August 2022, a month after he assumed the presidency.

Appraised net worth is the estimated value of a person’s total wealth based on a professional valuation.

The first couple’s appraised net worth in 2024 was at P1.375 billion. The appraised net worth of their assets breached the P1 billion mark in 2023 at P1.157 billion, which increased from P960 million in 2022.

They have not declared any liabilities since 2022.
