MANILA, Philippines — The Manila city government yesterday asked residents to wear face masks and observe standard health protocols amid the resurgence of COVID-19 in the metropolis.
“Everyone is advised to wear a face mask, avoid crowded places, continue practicing physical distancing, stay at home if feeling unwell and seek urgent care if needed,” the city health department said.
The advisory was issued after COVID cases surged in Quezon City and other parts of Metro Manila.
Despite recording a 265-percent spike in COVID cases, the Quezon City government said most infections were mild.
