The Manila International Book Fair (MIBF), the Philippines' biggest and longest-running book fair, is coming back on September 10 to 14 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Spanning two floors of the SMX Convention Center, MIBF will have an extensive marketplace of books, alongside a schedule of special events gathering publishers, authors, educators, and readers.
This year’s MIBF has the theme “Stories in Every Form.” It is a celebration of the rich and evolving world of storytelling, going beyond the printed page and recognizing the many ways stories come to life today — from comics and graphic novels, to digital platforms, audiobooks, and other creative formats.
"’Stories in Every Form’ describes the dynamic nature of literature and content creation today,” said Irene Lloren, President of Primetrade Asia, Inc. and MIBF organizer.
“MIBF has always been a place of discovery, and this year, we are putting a special spotlight on how stories connect with us through various mediums.”
The fair has a roster of over a hundred local and international exhibitors including Adarna House, Inc., Anvil Publishing, Inc., Ateneo de Manila University Press, Comic Odyssey, Fully Booked, National Book Development Board, National Book Store, Phoenix Publishing House, Inc., Summit Publishing Co., and many more. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
