ILOILO CITY — A total of 93 fugitives, including two of the region's most notorious suspects, were apprehended during a weeklong series of manhunt operations of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) from April 7 to 13.
The weeklong operation led to the arrest of 22 individuals classified as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 71 others listed as Other Wanted Persons.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) made the biggest contribution, accounting for 31 arrests or 33.33 percent of the total.
Among those caught was alias Ren-Ren, tagged as the region's number one MWP for murder. He was captured on April 13 in Barangay Model, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, following an intensive cross-regional pursuit.
Another high-profile arrest involved alias Jelly, the region's eighth MPW, who was apprehended on April 12 in Barangay Jawod, San Joaquin, Iloilo. He faces charges of murder and violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Meanwhile, in the same week, authorities seized over P8 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 59 suspects.
A total of 43 anti-drug operations were conducted across the region, yielding approximately 1,181 grams of suspected shabu and 4.5 grams of marijuana.
Of the 59 suspects apprehended, 10 were tagged as high-value individuals, 42 as street-level targets, and seven as newly identified drug personalities.
IPPO recorded the biggest haul of illegal drugs, with seized contraband estimated at around P4.7 million, while ICPO followed with about P3 million worth of drugs confiscated. Both units also tied for the highest number of drug-related arrests with 24 suspects each.
