A FORMER member of the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) implicated in a large-scale illegal recruitment case is now the subject of a massive manhunt operation by operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Bulacan Police Provincial Office and Malolos City Police.
The police identified the suspect as Reyca Janisa Palpalatoc, a former senior fire officer of the BFP and a resident of Barangay Longos in the City of Malolos.
The police, led by Maj. Edgardo Tongol, raided Palpallatoc's house in Barangay Longos on Jan. 29, armed with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Ronald August Tan of the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 297.
However, they failed to find and arrest her as neighbors reported that she rarely returns home and was last seen in the area during the Holy Week last year.
Based on the complaints, Palpallatoc allegedly asked victims for large sums of money in exchange for employment in the government.

In addition to the criminal case, she is also facing administrative cases for immorality and professional misconduct filed before the Office of the Om-budsman and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Investigators are considering that Palpallatoc has already left the country. They are also looking into her possible accomplices, including her mother and her live-in partner who are both BFP employees also.
