MANILA, Philippines — Best practices in digital governance have been showcased at a conference in Japan by Malabon city administrator Alexander Rosete.

In Fukuoka, Japan, Rosete presented the Malabon Ahon Blue Card, which streamlines the delivery of social services.

Also featured were the Malabon AHON 24/7 alert application for emergencies, the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop system as well as the procurement and inventory management system.

Challenges in digital literacy and public trust in data privacy and system security remain, Rosete said.

He recommended strengthening digital literacy programs, expanding infrastructure for inclusive access, enhancing citizen feedback mechanisms and building organizational capacity across government sectors to address gaps.
