Content creators Macoy Dubs and Pipay have experienced getting bullied and bashed, both in real life and online.
On Wednesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the two social media personalities shared how they navigated and ultimately overcame these significant challenges.
"Ako, Tito Boy, magco-compartmentalize ka talaga. Minsan nababasa ko 'yung bad comments about me, pero I shrug it off," Macoy Dubs said.
He said that what's important for him is that they do not know him personally.
"Hindi naman nila ako mahe-hurt in person, like suntukin ako ganiyan, so I shrug it off," he said.
Meanwhile, Pipay admitted that overcoming bullying is not an overnight process, especially when experienced from childhood.
"Pero ginamit ko kasi siyang instrument nung nag-content creating na ako na parang isang beses lang ako mabubuhay, ayoko na maging malungkot. So tinanggap ko siya," Pipay said.
Pipay added that it took her years to accept the reality of the bullying.
"Pero 'yung naidulot naman sa tao, like 'yung inspiration [na] kahit ganiyan, OK, maganda siya, may sarili siyang beauty, ganiyan," she said.
Macoy and Pipay are known for their skits on social media. As of this writing, they have millions of followers and likes on TikTok. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News
