MANILA, Philippines — Food content creator Abi Marquez, popularly known as the "Lumpia Queen," became the first Filipino to win at the annual ADCOLOR Awards recognizing global creatives.
Marquez was the recipient of the Creator of the Year award at its 19th edition held in Florida, United States. It is the latest achievement in her relatively young vlogging career.
"Abi uses her platform not just to entertain but to empower — helping home cooks gain confidence in the kitchen and inspiring livelihood opportunities across the Philippines," noted ADCOLOR in a write-up. "Her mission is simple but powerful – to bring Filipino food to the global stage."
The non-profit organization bestows the award to an individual who "builds community and creates change through their creative content on social media platforms" and "by promoting community and accessibility on their personal platform, use transformative means of digital influence that leads to real-life change."
