Lugang Café has opened its first branch in the Visayas, bringing its take on Taiwanese cuisine to SM Seaside City Cebu.
Known for its xiao long bao, three-cup chicken, and other signature dishes, Lugang Café expands its presence beyond Metro Manila with this new location, offering Cebuano diners another international dining option.
“Our goal has always been to offer more choices and new experiences to the communities we serve,” said SM Supermalls President Steven T. Tan. “With brands like Lugang Café and other first-in-Cebu dining concepts, we hope to add to Cebu’s already diverse and exciting food landscape.”

Expanding international flavors
Lugang Café joins a growing number of global restaurant brands recently introduced by SM Supermalls in Cebu. Earlier this year, Hoshino Coffee, known for its soufflé pancakes and specialty Japanese brews, and Yakiniku Like, a fast-casual Japanese grill, opened at SM J Mall.
Manam and Ooma, two concepts from The Moment Group, are also set to open at SM City Cebu in the first half of the year.
Over the years, SM has brought in Michelin-recognized brands such as Tim Ho Wan and Hawker Chan, further expanding Cebu’s dining landscape.
