CEBU, Philippines – The Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate is making its second to the last stop for its nationwide campaign in the province of Cebu.
The province of Cebu alone has 2,172,170 registered voters, excluding the cities of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu, based on data from the Commission on Elections. This makes it one of the most vote-rich provinces in the country and a strategic vote corridor in the Visayas.
Organizers are expecting between 8,000 to 10,000 attendees to the event. Local officials and bets of the ruling One Cebu party, led by Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, will be there for the grand rally. – Rappler.com
