MANILA, Philippines — Several roads in Metro Manila were affected by flooding on Saturday morning as the capital region remained under an orange rainfall warning due to heavy rains.
In its latest rainfall warning, state weather bureau PAGASA said flooding is still threatening in areas under the orange warning level.
As of 10:09 a.m., the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's Flood Control Information and Control Center reported the following flooded areas:
Impassable to light vehicles
Parañaque City
- Dr. A. Santos Avenue in front of SM Sucat — half-knee to knee-deep
Las Piñas City
- Barangay Zapote (Zapote Junction) — knee-deep
Passable to all types of vehicles
Valenzuela City
- MacArthur Highway fronting Goodyear/Toyota — below gutter-deep
Mandaluyong City
- Boni Avenue corner F. Ortigas Street — gutter to half-knee deep
Parañaque City
- Dr. A. Santos Avenue corner Canaynay Avenue — gutter to half-knee deep
- Dr. A. Santos Avenue near Olivarez School — gutter to half-knee deep
Manila City
- Taft Avenue corner Quirino Avenue (northbound) — gutter to half-knee deep
