"Lilo & Stitch" is all set to return to the big screen, this time as a live action film.
Disney on Wednesday unveiled the official trailer, and it's just as chaotic as the beloved animated film from 2002.
The trailer shows Lilo (Maia Kealoha) praying for a friend, before Stitch crash lands outside her house from outer space. It introduces other key characters: older sister Nani, aliens Jumba and Pleakly, agent Cobra Bubbles, and Nani's admirer David.
Stitch is the same menace he has always been, dragging Lilo and her family to chaotic island adventures.
And of course, the characters were shown reciting the famous line from the film: "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
"Lilo & Stitch" will premiere on theaters on May 23.
It is based on the classic animated film written and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
