MANILA, Philippines — The online gaming platform of tycoon Enrique Razon Jr. is bullish on its growth trajectory for this year, with plans to launch more games and grow its customer base amid a more competitive iGaming landscape.

“We’re confident that we’ll grow further this year. I’m very confident that we’ll do well this year,” Gerardo Alfredo Bisnar, head of legal and compliance for online gaming at Solaire Resort and Casino, told The STAR.

Bisnar said megaFUNalo! has been doing well since it went live in June last year.

“It’s growing. We have some pretty exciting plans moving forward,” he said.

MegaFUNalo! is a Philippine-licensed online gaming platform offering free-to-play games, live shows and real-money prizes all in one app.

It was launched by Razon’s Bloomberry Resorts to compete directly with offerings of other electronic gaming license holders, including BingoPlus, the online casino brand developed by DigiPlus Interactive Corp.

“MegaFUNalo is growing nicely. We’ve been able to continuously increase our user base so we’re very excited,” megaFUNalo! executive vice president and head of gaming Cyrus Sherafat said.

“Our mission is to create a Filipino-first entertainment platform that feels vibrant, playful and fun,” he said.

To elevate its offering, megaFUNalo! partnered with Gioco, an all-Filipino arcade game development studio, to introduce a series of locally inspired and globally competitive digital arcade games aimed at elevating Filipino-made digital entertainment.

Sherafat said the partnership with Gioco is expected to expand its customer count with more Filipino-themed content that would distinguish it from other online operators.

DigiPlus, on its end, has recently announced a partnership with boxing icon Manny Pacquiao for a slate of co-branded games that tell the story of the Filipino sporting legend’s journey, resilience and legacy.

Through the partnership, DigiPlus integrates Pacquiao’s most well-loved moments, traits and symbols into each game’s mechanics and visual design as it hopes to deliver an entertainment experience that resonates with Filipino players.

Online gaming platform Buenas PH, meanwhile, has tapped the country’s influential gaming personalities to champion the protection of the Filipino gaming community by setting a new benchmark for creator responsibility and viewer safety in the rapidly evolving iGaming sector.
