Leadership change signals new growth

Epson has announced the appointment of its new President and Representative Director, Chief Executive Officer, Junkichi Yoshida, effective April 1, 2025. In this leadership transition, the current President and CEO, Yasunori Ogawa, will take on the role of Chairman and Director. This change is in line with the company’s Epson 25 Renewed corporate vision.

The year 2025 marks the conclusion of Epson's 25 Renewed Vision, an initiative focused on sustainability and community enrichment. As the fiscal year 2025 comes to an end, Epson will also complete the development of its next corporate vision aimed at sustaining growth beyond 2025.

Junkichi Yoshida:  Epson's New CEO

Junkichi Yoshida, a veteran executive with over 35 years of experience at Epson, was born in Tokyo, Japan, on September 27, 1964. After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University, he began an impressive career by joining Seiko Epson Corporation in 1988.

Yoshida has taken on pivotal roles within the organization. In 2012, he became the head of the Printer Strategic Planning Department. In 2019, he led the DX Division as Deputy General Manager, and in 2021, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Printing Solutions Division. His dedication and contributions were further recognized when he was made Director and Executive Officer in 2024.

As new leadership takes charge on April 1, 2025, Epson aims to enhance corporate value, drive innovation and maintain its commitment to sustainability.
