Laurence Mossman for "The Notebook"
Theatre Group Asia
MANILA, Philippines — Theatre Group Asia (TGA) has made another major cast announcement for the upcoming staging of "The Notebook: The Musical" with Filipino-Kiwi actor Laurence Mossman playing Middle Noah.
The September 2026 run at Makati's Samsung Performing Arts Theater will be the first international production of the novel by Nicholas Sparks and its 2004 film adaptation starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.
Mossman taking on Middle Noah means he will star opposite Morissette Amon, who is marking her stage comeback after over a decade.
Benedix Ramos and Sheena Belarmino will portray the younger versions of both characters, Noah and Allie, while Celeste Legaspi will play Older Allie.
TGA's Overall Artistic and Creative Director Clint Ramos shared in a statement that the production was thrilled to welcome Mossman to the company.

"His artistry, warmth, charm, and remarkable ability to connect with audiences through his musicality make him the perfect fit for the role of Middle Noah at this pivotal stage of the character's journey," Ramos added.
Mossman mirrored the excitement in his own statement, noting how the story of "The Notebook" has "touched audiences around the world because of its honesty, heart and humanity."
The London-based actor graduated from New Zealand's University of Otago with First-Class Honours in Music and has starred in several notable stage productions, including "Kinky Boots," "A Christmas Carol," "Fun Home" and "Mamma Mia!"
He most recently played Thuy in the International and Australian Tour of "Miss Saigon," while his onscreen credits include the show "Dolce Amore" and the movie "Die Beautiful."
