MANILA, Philippines — Korean boy band BTS is coming back with a bang following confirmation an album would drop on March 20 ahead of an upcoming world tour.

A 2026 comeback was in the clear after all members of the group were discharged from the military, with rumors floating it would be in the springtime around March.

BTS' members — Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook — teased their fans called ARMY about their imminent return with handwritten letters posted on their Weverse channel.

J-Hope called 2026 the year BTS and ARMY would be together again while leader RM said "Bangtan is coming! BTS is coming!"

"I hope we can make a safe comeback this year and have a successful album. Let's make BTS a huge success," the boy band later said in a live broadcast on Weverse.

The group's label Big Hit Entertainment ensured ARMY began the new year on a bright note by confirming BTS' comeback was slated for March 20.

Big Hit shared across its platform an article by entertainment writer Moon Wan-sik that BTS would release album with new music for the first time in nearly four years, the last being 2022's "Proof."

Wan-sik's article also mentioned that after the album drop that BTS would embark on a large-scale world tour, marking their first live performance as a complete group since 2022.

BTS has also cleared and archived its Instagram posts, laying the groundwork for a new era of the group.
