Kim Chiu denies making statement about ex-President Rodrigo Duterte

Kim Chiu took to social media to clear rumors about her making a statement regarding former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Kim posted on X (formerly Twitter) today "Spiels today," her caption read.

The post included video of her on It's Showtime, saying, "Ang masasabi namin...deserve...wait hindi pa ako tapos... Deserve niyo rumesbak [sa buhay]!"

Several fake posts twisting Kim's spiels on the program started circulating, which the actress has denied to be true.

The fake posts accused Kim of saying the former president deserved to be arrested, seemingly taking her spiels from It's Showtime out of context.

Kim wrote on Facebook, "My piece. Please read full context bago maniwala sa FAKE NEWS na pinapakalat dito sa facebook lalo na yang si mang WILSON MAPA TAGANILE JR., sir wag po kayo mandamay sa nanahimik na tao. May God bless you and your family and your peace of mind."

She also made another post on X saying, "Hala nakakaloka! Bat ako nasali dyan?!!! Like o to the M to the G!!!! Busy ako sa ibang bagay. Dyosko wag nyoko isali sa ganyan. Parang awa nyo na. Ang gulo na po ng mundonh ibabaw. wag na tayo dumagdag. Dyosko nalanh talaga."
