MANILA, Philippines — Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of Ayala Group’s ACMobility, ended 2025 on a high note as it posted a 16.7-percent growth in sales from a year ago and emerged as the fastest-growing mainstream automotive brand in the country.

In a statement, Kia Philippines said its retail sales climbed to 7,810 units last year from 6,692 units in 2024.

ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said that 2025 was a defining year for Kia Philippines, as the company achieved a 16.7 percent year-on-year growth and emerged as the fastest-growing mainstream established automotive brand in the country.

“This milestone reflects the strength of our product portfolio, our customer-centric approach and our commitment to offering mobility solutions that meet the evolving needs of Filipino motorists,” he said.

Driving Kia Philippines’ strong performance were the Carnival and Sonet models.

In particular, the Carnival ranked second in the premium midsize multi-purpose vehicle segment, posting a 30 percent year-on-year growth in sales last year, supported byfamilies and executives who want a spacious, comfortable and first-class vehicle experience.

The Sonet also placed second in the entry subcompact sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment with its 54 percent year-on-year increase in sales last year.

Kia Philippines’ full range of fuel-powered, fully electric and turbo-hybrid vehicle options also supported the higher sales last year.

The firm’s move to offer turbo hybrid options, such as the Kia Sorento seven-seater hybrid SUV and the Kia Carnival Turbo Hybrid also helped expand Kia’s market reach and achieve growth.

“The performance in 2025 reflects how Filipino motorists responded to our cars, our service and the people behind the brand,” Kia Philippines managing director Jay Lopez said.

Beyond sales, Kia was recognized for customer satisfaction and dealer network excellence.

In particular, the brand received the 2025 Sales Customer Satisfaction Significant Improvement Award from Kia Asia-Pacific.

Kia Pasig was also named 2025 Global Best Dealer, underscoring Kia’s local dealer network delivery of world-class service to customers.

Given its achievements, Kia Philippines is optimistic for 2026.

“The momentum we’ve built gives us confidence in the road ahead,” Lopez said.

“Our focus now is on expanding our lineup, elevating the customer experience and making innovative, high-quality and reliable vehicles more accessible to Filipino drivers,” he said.
