Kaufman criticizes victims’ counsel, media in closing remarks

MANILA, Philippines — Former president Rodrigo Duterte’s lead defense counsel Nicholas Kaufman on Friday used his closing statements before the International Criminal Court (ICC) Pre-Trial Chamber I to take aim at both the victims’ legal representatives and mainstream media accusing them of making allegations without evidence and disregarding the presumption of innocence for his client.
