MANILA, Philippines — Manon Bannerman will temporarily step away from Katseye to focus on her health and wellbeing, the global girl group announced.

Katseye released a statement, through their labels HYBE and Geffen, on Manon taking a temporary hiatus from the group on their official WeVerse channel and sharing it on their different platforms.

The group said they all fully support the decision, which came after open and thoughtful conversations together.

"Katseye remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us," the statement read. "The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right."

The statement ended with a message of gratitude for the group's fans called Eyekons for their continued love, patience, and understanding.

The girl group is composed of Manon, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Yoonchae Jeung and Filipino leader Sophia Laforteza, formed after the 2023 reality competition series "Dream Academy."

Some of their best-known songs include "Gnarly," "Touch," "Gabriela," "Debut," "Gameboy" and most recently, "Internet Girl."

"Gabriela" was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at this year's Grammy Awards, where Katseye was also up for Best New Artist.
