Katrina Halili took to social media to share a deeply personal and unfiltered moment with her daughter, Katie, who is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
On Facebook, the Sparkle star uploaded a video of Katie having a tantrum at school because she did not want to go home yet.
“Dito po niyo makikita na hanggang ngayon, dumadanas pa rin po tayo ng tantrums ni katie. Sini-share ko po ito sa inyo hindi para pagtawanan siya, kundi para ipaalam sa mga ausome mom na pareho lang po tayo,” Katrina wrote.
The actress offered advice for handling these situations, particularly when in public.
“Wag po natin sila sasabayan, lalo na at nasa labas po tayo. Makukuha po natin sila sa mahinahon na boses,” she said.
Katrina also openly shared her own emotional toll, admitting that she was on the verge of tears during the incident and still experiences similar moments.
“Kaya sa mga nababasa ko pong comment, yes! May ganyan moment pa rin po ako. Pero kailangan po natin lawakan isip natin. At mas intindihin po sila,” she said.
Katie is Katrina’s daughter with her ex-boyfriend, Kris Lawrence.
