Kanlaon Volcano spews ash on Wednesday afternoon

MANILA, Philippines — Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island Region emitted ash on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. According to Phivolcs’ camera footage, the ash emission from the summit crater occurred between 1:41 p.m. and 2:38 p.m.  “This event generated grayish plumes that rose 750 meters above the crater before
