Justice panel denies ‘lawyering’ for Marcos in impeachment dismissal

MANILA, Philippines — Ranking leaders of the House justice committee on Tuesday denied allegations that they “lawyered” for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. when it voted to dismiss the two impeachment complaints against him on Wednesday for being insufficient in substance. In a press conference, panel chair Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro, as well as San Juan
