"Jurassic World Rebirth" is ushering a new era with a fresh slew of terrifying dinosaurs.
The film released its official trailer on Wednesday, and it takes us to the research facility for the original Jurassic Park.
Introduced in the trailer are Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) and Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey), who are working towards a drug, a "medical breakthrough that could save countless lives."
The catch? Their mission involves getting DNA from the three biggest dinosaurs, that were "too dangerous for the original park."
According to Universal Pictures, "Jurassic World Rebirth" is set five years after the events of the "Jurassic World" trilogy. The planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs, and those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived.
While there, they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that has been hidden from the world for decades.
Directed by Gareth Edwards from a script by original "Jurassic Park" screenwriter David Koepp, the film also stars Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda. The film also feature Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein.
"Jurassic World Rebirth" opens in Philippine cinemas on July 2. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
