Juancho Triviño just conquered his latest race and he isn't one to sugarcoat the challenges he experienced during the event.

On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared photos of him taken in Pinoy Fitness' Sub1 10K Challenge on March 8.

"Had to scrape and claw for this one. Kwento ko lang bakit ako nahirapan," he wrote in the caption.

According to Juancho, he and his wife, Joyce Pring, stopped training after her marathon in February so she could recover, adding that he wasn't able to train without her by his side.

Aside from this, he got sick a week before the race, which affected his conditioning.

While he was able to finish the race, he said that he had a personal record for the distance, but had to slow down due to his high heart rate.

Sharing his takeaways from the experience, he underscored the importance of strength, conditioning, and nutrition. He also told his followers to listen to their body and avoid comparing themselves to others.

"Run with purpose," he wrote.

"If [you] see one picture 'yung nakaturo ako sa taas - kasi that time naging fully reliant ako kay God to help me finish 'cause I was running on fumes, and I praise HIM for pulling me towards that finish line."

Back in December, Juancho and Joyce completed their first half marathon in Singapore.

The couple, who met as hosts in "Unang Hirit," tied the knot in 2019. They also had another wedding ceremony in 2020.

Juancho and Joyce have two kids, Alonso Eliam and Agnes Eleanor.
