MANILA, Philippines — The Jollibee Group is expanding its inclusive employment program for senior citizens and persons with disabilities through a partnership with the Taguig City government.
The collaboration will see 16 company-owned stores in Taguig across Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich and Burger King participate in the program, with each store expected to engage two senior citizens and one PWD.
Under the partnership, the Taguig local government unit will support the program through its relevant offices by receiving applicants, conducting initial interviews and profiling, preparing recommendation letters for medical examinations, explaining program qualifications and conducting appropriate training for qualified applicants prior to work assignment.
The Jollibee Group said qualified senior citizens and PWDs under the program may be assigned to lobby-based roles such as order presenters, drink drawers, table managers and guest relations staff.
The initiative is part of the group’s continuing efforts to create meaningful work opportunities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
“This program is meaningful because it gives our senior citizens and persons with disabilities a chance to continue contributing in ways that are seen, valued and respected,” Jollibee Group Philippines CEO and Jollibee Brand Global head Joseph Tanbuntiong said.
Since the program started in 2019, the Jollibee Group has already provided opportunities to over 1,000 senior citizens and PWDs across participating stores and partner local government units.
The partnership with the Taguig City Government also reflects the group’s broader commitment to inclusive employment and community impact under its sustainability agenda.
“At the Jollibee Group, we believe that our growth should also create opportunities for people in the communities we serve. Through partnerships like this with Taguig City, we can open more spaces where people can feel productive, connected and part of something bigger,” Tanbuntiong said.
