MANILA, Philippines — Former model-actress Iwa Moto and Panfilo "Pampi" Lacson Jr., son of Sen. Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, are now engaged after nearly 14 years together.

The couple got engaged during a recent trip to Japan, as revealed in a Instagram video posted by Iwa.

The video, set to Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years," sees the couple going around historic city of Nara before showing the engagement ring.

"So… this happened. Mahal, you are my always and forever. Thank you for making me happy. I can't wait to be your wife, mahal," Iwa wrote in the caption. "We have been together for almost 14 years and God knows we have been through alot but in His grace eto tayo, NAGMAMAHALAN. I can't wait to marry my best friend."

The video itself ended with the Bible verse Ephesians 4:2 which goes "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love," as well as a hint the wedding may take place in 2028.

Among the first to congratulate the couple was actress Jodi Sta Maria, Pampi's ex-wife with whom he has son with also named Panfilo Lacson nicknamed Thirdy.

"Life has a beautiful way of unfolding. Congratulations on your engagement Madam and Pampi! Rejoicing with you both! This milestone is truly significant for the whole family!" Jodi said, joking she's already prepared her outfit for the wedding.

Iwa replied to Jodi's comment saying, "Grabe ka mag predict amor. Love you. As promised ikaw ang isa sa mga naunang nakaalam. See you pag-uwi namin."

Pampi and Iwa have been together since 2012 and are parents to two children, pre-teen daughter Hiromi Eve and son Caleb Jiro who just turned five years old.
